I suppose it doesn't make sense to anyone how I can just 'feel' the need to write, but that's where I am right now. I don't have time for a long post but a happy list w/ a few pictures might do the trick. Here are some things that make me very happy right now.

I Am Thrilled....
- that my children are so into the Easter story again this year. The Resurrection eggs are a huge hit!
- that we got to hold and enjoy our 40 new, baby chicks. I know they'll soon be ugly and in 8 weeks we'll butcher them, but for now, we'll enjoy their cute, fluffiness.
- that my girls chose fresh strawberries over Peeps at the grocery store.
- that the old apple tree is no more and that my hard-working husband planted our 4 new fruit trees-2 apple, 2 cherry.
- that SPRING is here!
- that garage sale season is just around the corner.
- that one Easter dress is finished and the other one won't take long.
- that my son is actually catching on to adjectives in his Language book.
- that school is winding down for the year.
- that I get to go see my big sister and her family next week.
- that we finally bought a real piano.
- that my boys got to enjoy choir and that they did so well on their final program.
- that although my house is dirty, my heart is clean, and my cup is full.
- to put away the snow clothes for another year.
- that my raspberries are finally trimmed.
- that Jesus paid the Ultimate price for my sin.
- that I am finally understanding GRACE a little bit better.
- to celebrate Easter.

I Love....
...warm spring days, especially following a cold, snowy day.
...taking my kids to town with me when I'm not in a hurry or have a long list.
...good conversations with dear friends.
...talking/learning about nutrition.
...a good {short} run.
...my homemade white chocolate latte.
...salads in any way shape or form.
...dates with my husband.
...serious talks with my kids.
...hearing my husband's latest idea.
...homeschooling my kids.
...hearing my daughters make up songs and stories.
...chocolate, especially homemade cream cheese truffles.
...shopping for bargains, online or in stores.
...cooking.
...reading a good book.
...my new NASB Bible.
...watching my tulips poke their brave little heads out of the ground.
...hearing stories from the 'olden' days.
...thinking about how much God loves me, how quickly He forgets my sins, and how much He wants me to share His love with those around me.
And now, because it's only right and fair to share, my recipe for:
White Chocolate Latte.
Heat 3 cups of milk.
Put 2 T. instant coffee, 1 tsp. vanilla, and 1/3 cup of white chocolate chips in the blender.
Add milk and blend until smooth.
Pour into large mugs and add a dollop or 2 of whipped cream.
Makes 2 generous servings.
{This is a favorite after-the-kids-are-in-bed snack at our house.}

Things That Make Me Happy Today
1. Remembering my hubs phone call yesterday afternoon..."Hey, I'll be home in 15 minutes. Can I go running with you?" (It took me awhile to 'get it' because this is a first for him.)
2. A late night coffee date with a dear friend.
3. Watching my struggling son 'get' his Math.
4. Seeing the sunshine and warm temps again today...this is winter in the Midwest...or is it?
5. Thinking about next weekend, when we get to celebrate our marriage-just me and my man.
6. Looking through the children's scrapbooks that I labored over throughout the years.
7. Watching my sons' delight over catching big, fat Mr. Possum in their trap and getting to use Dad's .22 to finish him off.
8. A tiny nap.
9. A 20% off coupon for Kohl's that came in the mail today.
10. 3 bags of stuff ready to haul out the door- to give away or consign.
11. That we are all very healthy, and can I say we are halfway through the winter already?
12. A good Sunday evening spent with special friends.
13. That the computer program we set up for our bookwork is finally actually fun to use.
14. The blessings of a close marriage relationship.
15. My brand new dryer.
16. That we never get a busy signal when we want to talk to God; He's always available.
